The historic hotel-restaurant Le Clair de la Plume: under the glass roof, the gourmet restaurant (1* Michelin) offers delicate cuisine co-curated by Glenn VIEL***, and 9 19th-century furnished rooms share the upper floors.

Grignan, France’s most beautiful village in Drôme Provençale
Grignan is a charming, typical Provencal village in the Drôme département, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France.
It boasts a magnificent Renaissance château, and is mentioned in the letters Madame de Sévigné wrote to her daughter, Madame de Grignan, who lived there in the 17th century. The village and surrounding area are full of treasures to visit and enjoy in all seasons.

Lovely bistro within a short walking distance. Lovely restaurant on site that we took breakfast in - which has to be the best breakfast ever. I would return just for the breakfast. Warm, cosy and smelled nice everywhere! :)

Sumptuous Luxury in a Stunning Historical Setting: Impeccable Service & Quintessential Ambience
The architecture and interior design of this series of buildings comprised by Le Clair de la Plume was exemplary: I had already visited it in Grignan as a tourist (they have a gift shop with their own products) and knew how stunning it is. Service was impeccable, the breakfast was sumptuous including some lovely champagne. There were wonderful touches such as locally produced bespoke foods & toiletries. The south facing views over the village and chatea were equally stunning both during the night & day. Centrally located, unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to try the outdoor pools. One call to reception for a local affiliated restaurant booking.
The whole stay was charming
The hotel and assortment of associated rooms are in the bottom of a charming village which was obviously a 'destination' as it was pretty crowded on 15 August. The welcome was warm and helpful, our beautiful room with excellent facilities was in a separate house just down the street. We were able to park our car close to the hotel and walked to La Ferme, their bistro restaurant for an excellent open air dinner. The service and menu obviously had an eye to Michelin ambitions so it was not cheap but very pleasant. The location was beautiful particularly on a fine summer evening.

The hotel was beautiful. We arrived at 16:00, quickly checked in and took a stroll in the town. The night views of the hotel is fantastic. We had a comfortable stay. I had requested for charging for my EV, and it was possible to do it during the night. We were on route to Barcelona and this was a perfect spot for us to relax for the evening and enjoy the town / Grignan Chateau and views from the top. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Next time, we will plan for a few more days!!

The hotel is completing charming, with a lovely pool. The attached restaurant is outstanding. Wonderful buffet breakfast in the garden each morning. Comfortable beds and good A/C. My room was a little small but perfectly comfortable and I was not in the room except to sleep. Definitely recommend and will stay here again myself.

La chambre était grande et très confortable, le personnel prépare même la chambre pour la nuit, ce qui correspond à de très hauts standards hôteliers.

The Highlight of Our Trip to Provence
Stunning and historic property with attention to detail and attentive staff. We enjoyed dinner at their bistro which was lovely and a nice walk just outside of town. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with an incredible spread, even champagne, to be enjoyed in the garden. We booked last minute as we were driving through Provence and the stay was the highlight of our trip.

A Thursday evening, the restaurant was packed... no problem, they managed to find us a table for 2 adults and 2 children. The service was friendly and pleasant... a kind word for the children. A dream location at the foot of the castle. The rooms are tastefully decorated, a blend of antique and chic. Our dinner at Clair de la Plume…magical! A surprise dinner (we didn't know the menu details beforehand), every flavor was perfectly balanced. Océane gave us excellent wine recommendations and provided contact information for the winemakers. Her professionalism made all the difference. All the staff are truly deserving of their positions. Treat yourself to an experience that is sometimes surprising but utterly perfect.

A wonderful weekend spent in this magnificent hotel. An enchanting setting where the staff truly went above and beyond. The garden is so beautiful and inviting! And the restaurant in the conservatory... sublime ❤️. The breakfast selection and the serving area are simply "Wow...", it's fabulous!!! A wonderful experience in this colorful restaurant, a table in the glass roof with an 8-course menu to discover the chefs' creations. From canapés to desserts, it was an explosion of flavors in your mouth! Neither too long nor too fast, the pace of service was perfect. The service was excellent; each person took great care of us, engaging in conversation and exchange, and the explanations of the dishes were very clear. A café with a terrace in the center of Grignan. Close to the castle, the welcome is very friendly, the service calm but quick, and the food is delicious for a very reasonable price. The Caesar salad and ravioli were excellent, all in a beautiful setting. We have very fond memories of it.

We had the pleasure of discovering the eight-course menu, brilliantly constructed around the truffle… but not exclusively. Each dish was a masterful surprise: a remarkably delicate lobster ravioli, perfectly prepared lamb, and a progression of flavors of exquisite precision. To finish, two desserts, one of which was "the truffle." An absolutely incredible dessert, as daring as it was flawlessly executed. Le Clair de la Plume is a truly exceptional gastronomic restaurant, without a single flaw, where the flavors live up to the high standards and reputation of the establishment. It's a place you leave wanting to return, and above all, to recommend without hesitation.

A very nice establishment, with a warm welcome, very professional and friendly service. The food is a real treat. The presentation is meticulous and the cooking is perfect. The spelt and truffle risotto (generous) is a delight, and the fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. To finish, the pear and speculum dessert with Chapouton cabbage and grated truffles is a marvel. It was a daring experience, and it's a culinary success. Bravo to this excellent establishment. Very warm room, comfortable bedding, bathrobes and coffee are available. We feel right at home, thanks to Fred, if we can afford this familiarity.

We enjoyed two exceptional pastries. Besides being beautiful, they were delicious! What a pleasure to still find pastries of such high quality for such a reasonable price. They're light years ahead of the frozen pastries you find in most bakeries. A truly excellent place; you can go without hesitation.
