Les Maisons du Clair de la Plume situées en Provence, au pied du château de Grignan, un des plus « Beaux Villages de France », se répartissent en 6 lieux du village historique.
L’historique hôtel restaurant Le Clair de la Plume : sous la verrière, le restaurant gastronomique (1* Michelin) propose une cuisine délicate co-signée Glenn VIEL*** et 9 chambres meublées XIXème se partagent les étages.
Toute proche, la Maison Privée, dont l’escalier monumental conduit aux 6 suites et chambres intemporelles.
Une flânerie s’impose au Jardin Méditerranéen : collection de plantes, baignade naturelle et le lieu secret « Pavillon des amoureux » comprenant 1 chambre.
A quelques pas, l’hôtel **** et le Bistro La Ferme Chapouton abrite 13 chambres contemporaines, une piscine chauffée et des salles pour séminaires, mariages, cousinades… de 10 à 200 personnes.
Enfin, sur la place du village, le Café des Vignerons (bar à vins & cuisine) et le Caveau des Vignerons et Produits du Terroir complètent notre invitation à découvrir une Provence préservée et magique.

Grignan est un charmant et typique village provençal situé dans le département de la Drôme, en Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, au sud-est de la France.
Il compte un magnifique château Renaissance, et est mentionné dans les lettres que Madame de Sévigné écrivit à sa fille qui y résidait, Madame de Grignan, au XVIIème siècle. Le village et les alentours regorgent de trésors à visiter et à déguster en toutes saisons.

The Highlight of Our Trip to Provence
Stunning and historic property with attention to detail and attentive staff. We enjoyed dinner at their bistro which was lovely and a nice walk just outside of town. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with an incredible spread, even champagne, to be enjoyed in the garden. We booked last minute as we were driving through Provence and the stay was the highlight of our trip.

The whole stay was charming
The hotel and assortment of associated rooms are in the bottom of a charming village which was obviously a 'destination' as it was pretty crowded on 15 August. The welcome was warm and helpful, our beautiful room with excellent facilities was in a separate house just down the street. We were able to park our car close to the hotel and walked to La Ferme, their bistro restaurant for an excellent open air dinner. The service and menu obviously had an eye to Michelin ambitions so it was not cheap but very pleasant. The location was beautiful particularly on a fine summer evening.

Sumptuous Luxury in a Stunning Historical Setting: Impeccable Service & Quintessential Ambience
The architecture and interior design of this series of buildings comprised by Le Clair de la Plume was exemplary: I had already visited it in Grignan as a tourist (they have a gift shop with their own products) and knew how stunning it is. Service was impeccable, the breakfast was sumptuous including some lovely champagne. There were wonderful touches such as locally produced bespoke foods & toiletries. The south facing views over the village and chatea were equally stunning both during the night & day. Centrally located, unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to try the outdoor pools. One call to reception for a local affiliated restaurant booking.

The hotel was beautiful. We arrived at 16:00, quickly checked in and took a stroll in the town. The night views of the hotel is fantastic. We had a comfortable stay. I had requested for charging for my EV, and it was possible to do it during the night. We were on route to Barcelona and this was a perfect spot for us to relax for the evening and enjoy the town / Grignan Chateau and views from the top. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Next time, we will plan for a few more days!!

Très bel emplacement à 2 pas du château de Grignan. Très belle bâtisse en pierres, grande chambre tout confort et même plus. Beau jardin. 3 restaurants au sein ou affiliés à l'hôtel.
Avoir obtenu une table pour deux sur la véranda a rendu cette soirée encore plus magique. Ce fut un véritable enchantement - ayant eu l’opportunité de découvrir plusieurs restaurants étoilés, je peux affirmer que le Clair de Plume se distingue par sa finesse exceptionnelle et l’émotion particulière qui se dégage de cet établissement. Tous mes compliments à l’équipe entière. Nous avons été enchantés d’avoir pu exprimer notre gratitude au chef pour ce repas d’une délicatesse remarquable.

C’était un cadeau, j’ai la chance de ne pas avoir à tenir compte du prix. Nous avons été bien reçus. La chambre était magnifique, meublée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Très jolie salle de petit-déjeuner, copieux et de bonne qualité.
Nous nous sommes mariés à la Ferme Chapouton en ce début avril et tout a été féerique. Immense bonheur de déjeuner dans la grande salle lumineuse, verrières ouvertes, avec une vue incroyable sur le château, après avoir pris l’apéritif sur la pelouse sous le soleil drômois. Nos invités ont adoré tout le menu. Magnifique journée, service adorable, gentillesse et prévenance. Nous (les mariés uniquement) sommes restés dormir et avons adoré notre belle chambre romantique et le petit dej excellent. Merci pour ce week-end de conte de fées !

Nous avons séjourné une nuit : très belle chambre, accueil chaleureux pour nous et notre chienne. Très bon dîner de l’entrée au dessert au bistrot qui accepte les chiens. Une belle adresse très bien située

We had an absolutely beautiful time here. The location is idyllic, and we loved how the hotel complex was split across multiple buildings in town, all within a short few minutes walk of each other. The rooms were very well kept and comfortable, the food was so good we kept coming back for more, and the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating to all our needs. We came with a dog and they provided us with a dog bed and bowl (and a little treat, too!) which we'd not encountered before. We enjoyed our first night so much we extended our stay - it made our next day a much longer journey but was totally worth it. We were sad to leave! Thank you team CDLP. Leo, Ysabel and Gigi

Un dîner succulent et copieux dans un joli cadre. La salle n'est pas bruyante, la disposition des tables laisse de l'espace entre les personnes, les plats sont servis rapidement et sont bons. Petite attention au jeune serveur qui s'est occupé de nous à merveille. Je recommande.

Just a few years ago, as lifelong vegetarians we couldn’t get a decent veggie meal out in France. It was a running joke that it would be a goats cheese salad every night of the holiday- if you were lucky! We visited La Clair De Plume’s gastronomic restaurant tonight and it was a breath of fresh air. A set menu of 4 courses of delicious, thoughtfully crafted vegetarian treats which we loved every minute of. We highly recommend this restaurant as a great fine dining option with a beautiful garden seating area to relax in before or after your meal. Friendly staff too :)
Bravo. Belle initiative pour ce grand voyage à la découverte des vins et Vignerons de l'AOC Grignan-Lès-Adhémar. Immanquable si on passe par Grignan et sa région. Nathalie, la responsable de la boutique est fantastique, savante mais sans chichi, et passionnée par ses vins et ses terroirs. À faire... Et à refaire !

Excellent... Arrivés en plein rush (sans réservation) à 5 avec 2 chiens, nous avons été accueillis avec gentillesse et sourire. Le personnel a déplacé des tables pour nous accueillir. Quant à la cuisine: une carte restreinte de qualité, salade ultra fraîche... Service souriant 100% orienté satisfaction client malgré l'affluence et facture tout à fait digeste (environ 30€/pers avec boissons non alcoolisées, entrée -plat-dessert). Bref une super expérience !! Je recommande

This hotel in the charming village of Grignan is actually my favourite hotel in the world. I've been coming here for years, and each time the experience gets better and better. The original hotel with it's elegant rooms and beautiful gardens make you feel transported to another world, and the new addition and renovation of the old farmhouse Chapouton which is only a few minutes walk is another creation extraordinaire! The two restaurants - the Bistro (SO great!) and the Michelin star restaurant (Which is beyond AMAZING and should definitely be on your bucket list!!) is only surpassed by the hotel staff. They are so kind and professional and always there to make sure your experience is one to remember. So many hotels strive for excellence, but this one truly delivers, and I look forward to next year's visit!! A very happy customer, Barbara (United Kingdom)

Une parenthèse enchantée au Clair de la Plume. Un dîner en 8 escales accompagné de superbes vins. Merci aux équipes pour leur accueil chaleureux et aux chefs virtuoses pour ce menu incroyable qui reste une très beau souvenir (aussi adapté à notre goût). Un regal absolu a chaque service, des mets travailles avec une grande finesse. La chambre était également sublime, calme. Une soirée inoubliable et une superbe découverte. Merci a toutes les équipes pour ce moment.
Accueil et service agréable et cuisine excellente !portion génereuse mais cuisiné avec soin. Mention spéciale pour la pavlova aux fruits exotiques, on l'a mangerai sans faim tellement elle est bonne! Bref nous avons très très bien mangé ! Merci !!!

Un merveilleux dîner d'anniversaire avec des étoiles plein les yeux. Ici tout n'est que finesse et délicatesse. J'y ai tout aimé : le lieu, les mets délicieux, le service plus que parfait. Vivement mes 56 ans :-)
Un moment délicieux dans un cadre idyllique Le décor pour commencer. Un jardin très arboré, très joliment dessiné et très bien entretenu. Une vue imprenable sur le château. Un système de terrasse ouverte. On mange dedans et dehors à la fois. Les tables sont dressées simplement mais joliment, avec une belle vaisselle de Revol (vive la Drôme) Et l'assiette! Une soupe de petits pois si fraîche et si printanière. Ensuite une cannette cuite à la perfection ! Un rapport qualité prix très correct compte tenu du décor et de l'assiette. À découvrir absolument!

Autant le repas était très bon, autant l'accueil et le service étaient déplorables ! Nous avions réservé une table pour le dimanche midi de notre anniversaire de mariage (mentionné plusieurs fois lors de la réservation) mais l'accueil à été juste détestable !!! Après nous avoir fait changé de table quelques minutes après notre installation (pourquoi ??? mystère...), les propositions pour l'apéritif ont été annoncées de manière très sèche comme si nous étions "bébêtes". En effet, je cite la réponse de la serveuse après lui avoir posé la question sur la composition du cocktail : "Je suis entrain de vous le dire Madame !!!"...OK pardon de vous avoir posé cette question 😡. En même temps, soyez plus claire car c'était incompréhensible merci ! Juste après l'entrée, un des serveur demande à mon mari sur un ton HAUTAIN s'il souhaitait un verre de vin rouge pour accompagner son plat, ce qu'il accepte. Seulement, il n'est revenu lui apporter...qu'au MOMENT DU DESSERT donc plus aucun intérêt ! Nous l'avons pourtant vu tourner autour des tables voisines durant de longues minutes en attendant qu'il nous le ramène. C'est à se demander s'il ne nous avait juste pas oublié. Puis, il revient en nous disant : "j'ai tardé à vous l'apporter". A ben oui effectivement... Seulement vu son attitude, nous lui avons dit qu'il pouvait donc repartir avec, ce qui ne lui a pas plu. Tanpis ! (habituellement, nous l'aurions acceptés sans problème). Enfin au moment de la note, nous avons failli payer 2 fois le repas déjà réglé d'avance (car compris avec la nuit d'hôtel au "Clair de la Plume") et aucune excuse n'a été faite non plus. On a eu droit à la "gueule" du Responsable comme si nous étions des fautifs ! Je ne comprends pas ce comportement HAUTAIN du personnel que nous avons eu du début à la fin. Peut-être était-ce lié au fait que nous étions LES SEULS du restaurant correctement vêtus pour ce type d'établissement ??? Et oui, pas de shorts, jeans, tongues ou baskets pour nous désolée... En même temps, vous êtes un restaurant gastronomique et c'était (je le répète) notre anniversaire de mariage. Par ailleurs, cela n'a même jamais été relevé par l'établissement (ne serait-ce qu'un simple "félicitations" ou "joyeux anniversaire" oral). En même temps, je ne suis plus surprise...Lol ! Nous étions déjà venus il y a 3 ans où c'était très bien mais cette fois, nous sommes très très déçus, et nous ne reviendrons plus !

Petite halte pour déguster une coupe de glaces. Un café liegeois avec du café express, le vrai quoi!!!!! Et une coupe provençale avec 1 boule abricot, faise et lavande, coulis et chantilly. Délicieux!!!!! Merci pour le service
The team is amazing. They are super friendly. The rooms are decent and are of the upper standard. For 225€ we found this to be alright. The garden is beautiful and the pool is cooling. Onsite parking is free and there are several electric vehicle chargers on site with a decent ad-hoc payment system for 0.39 cents per kWh. We were welcomed with our dog as there was a dog bowl and bed when we arrived in our room. Very nice! I do not recommend the massage option. It's off-site in the village next door.
